オードリー・ヘップバーンの「マイ・フェア・レディ」でコックニー訛りの勉強

ミュージカル映画の傑作

オードリー・ヘップバーン主演「マイフェアレディ（My Fair Lady）」

言葉と言うものが、
教材や単語帳に整然と並べられているものではなく、
人間が喜んだり、泣いたり、叫んだりするときに
発せられるものであるということが改めてよくわかりました。

イギリスのロンドンが舞台の
映画「マイ・フェア・レディ」を英語字幕で見ました。
オードリー・ヘップバーン主演のミュージカル映画の永遠の名作です。

舞台はイギリスですが、
1960年代、全盛期のアメリカのハリウッド映画だけあって
出来栄えが素晴らしかったです。

ミュージカルですから、
特に歌って踊るシーンやその音楽がすばらしくって、
泣きそうになるぐらいでした。
純粋で、ドリーミーです。

銀幕の中のヘップバーンは華麗でした。
そして、"花売り娘"のヘップバーンが喋る
コックニー訛りの英語がすっごく素敵でした。
個人的には、コックニー訛りの方が
イギリスっぽくって好きです。

このDVDはネイティブが実際に話す英語に慣れる意味と
コックニー訛りを勉強する為に買ったんです。
今後もできるだけコックニーアクセントを
覚えたいと思っています（笑い）

カッコいいですからね！

映画の中でも、キレイになったオードリーよりも
コヴェント・ガーデンにいた頃のオードリーの方が
人間的で魅力的だと思いました。

今はもう花市場はないらしいんですが、
この映画のロケ地であるコヴェント・ガーデンは
絶対に行ってみたいですね！

あと、内容ももちろん映像があるので、
日本語字幕無しでもかなりよく理解できました。
途中、英語の映画を英語の字幕で見て、
笑ったり、感動したりしている自分がいるのに気づいて
すごくうれしくなりました！

まだまだ、わかんない単語がたくさんありましたが、
さらに色々考えながら英語に慣れ親しんで
いきたいと思います。

この DVDには、特典としてクランクインディナー、
制作の舞台裏、アカデミー賞の授賞式のハイライトなどの映像も
含まれていて、当時の雰囲気が伝わってきて楽しかったです。

I understand it well that words are not merely shown in textbooks and flash cards but uttered by human beings when they are delighted, crying or shouting.

I watch the movie, "My Fair Lady", with English captions which was filmed in London.It's an excellent enduring musical film starring Audrey Hepburn.Although the stage was in London, the quality of the film is brilliant since it was filmed in Hollywood during its Golden Age.

It's a musical film and because the singing and dancing scenes as well as their background music were especially amazing, I was about to cry for joy. It's so pure and dreamy.

Audrey Hepburn was splendid in the screen. She is a flower girl and her English with Cockney accent also sounds splendid. I personally like Cockney accent better than the others since it sounds British.

I bought this DVD for getting familiar with living English spoken by native speakers and for studying Cockney accent. I'd like to try my best to pick up Cockney accent from now, as it sounds cool.

In this film, I feel that Audrey in the Covent Garden is more charming and humane than she is with makeup and well dressed.

It seems that there is no flower market there. By all means, I would like to go to the Covent Garden that was one of the locations in the movie!

Furthermore, since the movie of course includes images, I can understand the story prety well without the Japanese caption. While watching the English movie with the English caption, I was very much delighted to the fact that I found myself laughing and being impressed with it.

Although there are many words that I cannot recognize yet, I hope to become more familiar with English by thinking about and engaging in different things.

P.S. Since this DVD included special edition of images such as circumstance of crank-in dinner, a backstage of filming, and a highlight of the Academy Award; I enjoyed the atmosphere days back then.
