3月に「英語論文（アカデミックライティング）の大波」
というブログ記事を書いているんですが、
Open Universityに入学してから、意識的に
“ロジカルでシンプルな英文”づくりを心掛けています。
入学準備の段階で、Open Universityのスタッフの方に
日本事務局の中ですぐ薦められたのが、
この「書くための英文法」。
昭和63年初版発行の英文法書なのですが、
辞書的な感じで文法ルールや大文字の正しい使い方、
句読点の使い方、数字の書き方などが紹介されていて
とても使いやすいです。
読むと言うよりも引くという感じで、
英文を書くときに、どれが正しい語法で、
どれが慣用に反するかなどを知ることができます。
英語の勉強をするというよりも、
“英文を書く”ことに特化しているので
使いやすいのだと思います。
実用的なよい本を薦めて頂きました、
新コンサイス（註:和英と英和2冊）と合わせて
今、英文を大量に書かねばならない僕の
座右の書になっています。

I wrote a blog entry entitled "The Big Wave of the Academic Writing of an English Sentence" in March. I have been trying to write a simple and logical English sentence since I entered the Open University.
"English Sentence for Writing" is the book which one of the stuff in the Japan Office of the Open University introduced me at once when I was preparing for enrollment of the university.
This English grammar was originally printed in 1988, 63rd year of Showa era. It is thick like a dictionary and so useful for me because it covers rules of sentences, ways of writing capital letters, punctuations, and numbers.
I'm able to perceive some English grammar rules which idiom is right or which expression isn't usage and so on when I am writing English sentences. It seems not to read a book but to look in dictionary.
I think it's easy to use for me to specialize to write English sentences rather than to study English.
I was recommended this good practicable book because I must write numerous English sentences. It has become my favorite book over a life together with New Concise dictionaries (two dictionaries: Japanese-English and English-Japanese)
However, it's not quite to seek relevant page with table of contents.
